Here at Rivers' Remedies we hand pick only the finest natural products.

All of our products are free from petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, parabens, SLS and other undesirables; absolutely no hidden nasties, only lovely, healthy, safe ingredients.

All authentic natural products have a shelf life just as fresh foods has a shelf life, which is why all of our skin and hair care products are made in the UK. This means everything we sell is locally mixed and in our hands as quickly as possible - and everything we sell online comes directly from our London shop. The fresher the better and more effective the product will be.

None of the companies we work with test on animals, and they all use fair trade and eco friendly ingredients.


About the founder Rebecca Rivers

When someone very dear to me was diagnosed with Kidney cancer I started a mad rush to understand as much about the disease as possible. I came across more and more information regarding the dangers lurking in skin and hair care products.

The more I researched the more evident it became that the petro-chemicals and synthetic ingredients that I was covering myself with were at best not doing what I was spending a lot of money to have them do, and at worst dangerous and potentially carcinogenic.  I immediately resolved to buy only natural products, but - and there's always a but - my search for the right natural products uncovered many phonies! There is no regulation on cosmetics and toiletries and  many companies are jumping on the bandwagon of natural without  really meaning it.  I found I had to read every label to double check that the product on the inside of the bottle lived up to the claims on the front, and the inspiration for my  business was born.

I take pride in providing my customers with products they can truly trust.  I take the time to talk to all of our suppliers and inspect their products.  I want to know that the people making the products are doing it for the right reasons, and have the right ethics and standards.  Natural and Organic toiletries is one of the fastest growing markets around, and that attracts a lot of  companies just looking for a quick profit; I only stock the best quality products from honest and trusted suppliers, and I will only guide you to products that are right for you.

A happy bi-product of  switching to all natural skin care is the condition and appearance of my skin. I have been afflicted with acne, and very bad acne scarring my entire life.  I spent unthinkable sums of money seeing dermatologists and tried every remedy they offered from accutane to laser peels.  Each treatment left me with horrible side effects and either no noticeable improvement or skin that was actually worse than before.  The switch to natural products was an ethical and health decision, so imagine my surprise when my acne cleared up, then the scarring and pigmentation started to fade! Where once my skin was a daily cause of  bother and embarrassment I now dust on a hint of mineral foundation and don't think about it for the rest of the day.  People compliment me on my skin now!
